House Remodel in Sonora, CA The Tudor House
The Tudor House was a large three story home built on the hills of Sonora, CA. We were hired to gut some areas of the house such as the kitchen, three bathrooms, floor and bedrooms. The exterior of the house was to keep it's charm while the interior was to be updated from it's sixties/seventies vibes. The kitchen remodel was transformed by eliminating all the cabinets and appliances. New white shaker cabinets were installed. Calacatta marble was installed on the new countertops and subway ceramic tile on the backsplash. In the bathrooms we took out the colorful bathtubs and jacuzzi tub and replaced them with walk in showers in the case of the smaller bathrooms, and with a soaking jacuzzi in the case of the master bathroom. The dumbwaiter was eliminated and the open portion of the home was reframed, drywalled, textured and painted. Crown molding was added to the entire downstairs of the home. The antique pellet stove was relocated with a beautiful herringbone backsplash. The floors were done throughout the house in a solid core Luxury Vinyl plank, while the entry housed a fabulous travertine floor with a compass medallion showing true north. The entire house was painted in light tones. The following photos show some of the progress of the work and some of the before and after transformation of this house.
